Skyrim is VGA 2011 GOTY

Skyrim won the Game of the Year award in Spike's Video Game Awards 2011 as expected. On top of that, it also won the Best Role-Playing Game title. Bethesda Game Studios was named the Studio of the Year.

Last time, I said that Skyrim was nominated for the Game of the Year in Video Games Awards 2011. That time, the nominees in the other categories have not been revealed yet. This time, it looks like Bethesda have been given eight nominations, with Skyrim taking three. Let us support Bethesda by voting for them in Spike TV's Video Games Awards 2011.

The winners will be announced on December 10, 2011.

Game Director Todd Howard takes us on a tour inside Bethesda's new studio in Rockville, Maryland.

You'll find there exactly what you would expect from the designers themselves - tons and tons of Elder Scrolls related stuff. It's their biggest franchise so I'd bet much of their resources goes into its development. Besides, RAGE and Brink are already out in the market.

The other big game is Fallout 3. In the video, you could see a lot of Fallout 3 - related merchandise also.
